Biography

Gul Cagin is a Los Angeles-based installation and performance artist whose work is driven by random combinations of elements including color, materials, forms, movements, found and fabricated materials. She is interested in creating environments, a hybrid space, where architectural elements meet with bodily elements. Cagin received her BFA degree from University of Southern California (1999) and MFA degree from Claremont Graduate University (2001). Her works have exhibited in venues such as Museum of New Mexico, Highways Performance Space (LA), Raid Projects (LA), Centre Civic-Barcelona, Occidental College (LA), San Diego Art Institute, Crazy Space (Santa Monica), The Armory Center for The Arts (Pasadena) and private houses.

Arzu Arda Kosar is an Los Angeles based installation artist whose work explores different ways of charting borders, the ways social networks operate and the inter and intra group relationships they generate. She received her BFA from the University of Pittsburgh (1993) in art history and studio practices, as well as minors in Women’s Studies and Philosophy and MFA from the University of Southern California (1999) in New Genres. Her work has been exhibited in venues both in the USA and abroad. She is the organzer of International 
Survey of Alternative Artscene: A 
series of art exhibitions, 
workshops and lectures in North 
America, Asia and Europe. 
Supported by the SC/W grant. She has taught art and art history at K-12 and college levels at many institutions across Southern California, including USC and the Armory Center for the Arts.
